The Onikojuro Festival is a major autumn event held every October at Shiroishi Castle. The highlight of the festival is a dynamic battle performance featuring a total of 120 armored warriors. Extra performers, recruited from the general public, passionately reenact the achievements of Shigenaga Katakura, the second lord of Shiroishi Castle, during the 1615 summer campaign of the Siege of Osaka. The performance includes highlights such as matchlock gun demonstrations. After the performance, you can even take a commemorative photo with your favorite armored warrior!
