Maguro Chaya is a historic sushi restaurant in Matsushima located along the Matsushima Kaigan-dori section of Route 45. The restaurant is famous for its “oke-chirashi.” An oke is a traditional wooden container for preparing sushi rice. Patrons can enjoy an oke heaped with a mountain of mouthwatering, seasonal seafood, fresh from the ports in Matsushima and Shiogama.
