Swaying high above the Yorokawa Gorge, this 120-meter long suspension footbridge is the longest in Tohoku. Despite that distinction, the bridge is so rarely visited by tourists that it feels like a secret spot. Those who do visit will find it a peaceful place to enjoy uninterrupted views of crystal-clear waters and the surrounding flora of Mount Fubo. Although a great experience almost any time of year, the view is at its most magnificent during autumn color season. The Yamabiko Suspension Bridge is one of the Thirty-six Scenic Views of Mount Zao; another is Lake Choro just a short hike away.
