  • Hanayubi is a hot spring hotel located on the shores of the the tranquil Mangoku Ura Sound. The placid, mirrorlike waters of the inlet glow a firey orange at sunset, arguably one of the most stunning sunsets in Japan. Gazing out at it from the hotel’s open-air bath is sure to be a highlight of any stay in Miyagi. The hotel also prides itself on its seafood, purchased from local fishermen. The menu rotates frequently to showcase the catch of the season: urchin and crab in spring, scallops in autumn, and so on.
