One of Miyagi’s most popular ski resorts, Spring Valley is situated on the slopes of Mount Izumigatake, a low mountain in the northern part of Sendai City. It’s an ideal destination for a fun, easy-going day trip. The low elevation makes for relatively mild temperatures on the slopes, and the food court features branch shops of popular Sendai establishments.

The resort offers generous night skiing hours, an adventurous alternative to a typical night on the town. Most nights the slopes are open until 10 p.m, and on special occasions until 5 a.m. the next morning!
